THE CHALLENGE
With the
Picture Yourself Somewhere Else promotion, WestJet sought to assist its customers in making the right travel decisions and strengthen brand loyalty. WestJet needed a brand-centered web solution that was based on a solid technical infrastructure to deliver a unique and rewarding experience for its customers.
THE SOLUTION
With extensive experience in the online promotions arena, Media Dog was relied on to create a brand-centered web site for the
Picture Yourself Somewhere Else campaign. We worked with our partners
Creative Intelligence to develop the interactive component of the promotion. Built on a ColdFusion back-end, the site utilized many sophisticated tools to allow customers to register to win prizes. Special attention was paid to online security and member tracking.
The site design utilized lively imagery tied into the
Picture Yourself Somewhere Else theme with snapshots of people around the world. Fun features such as a postcard generator allowed members to share the site with friends and family.
THE RESULTS
The
Picture Yourself Somewhere Else promotion was a resounding success. Not only did WestJet gain valuable brand awareness and loyalty, the site also helped increase conversion rates for online bookings by guiding users to the main WestJet web site. In addition, powerful back-end solutions allowed WestJet to track customer preferences for such things as the airline's route selection and service performance. The company was also able to collect and analyze demographic information from registered members to help plan future business and marketing activities.
